I grew up playing Football, Rugby, and track and I wrestled as well. I've been doing Crossfit for 9 years and have been coaching for 6 years. I am a 2x Crossfit Quarterfinal athlete
I had always regarded myself as healthy and in shape but those were just thoughts I made up to make myself feel better. I went to the globo gym and bounced around from machine to machine not knowing what I was doing and wasting a lot of my day trying to do something! I had no accountability to help make sure I actually made it in the gym either. I felt myself get more and more out of shape even though I was going to "The gym". It wasn't until I took the risk and went to a local CrossFit gym that my health and fitness actually saw improvements. In my very first class, I had a coach tell me what I should be doing, how I should be doing it, and when I should be doing it. It was like I didn't even have to think! All I had to do was show up and be ready to put in the work.
All this being said, the most important thing of all truth is being able to use United Fitness to enable our coaches and athletes to use their God-given abilities and gifts to help others. My goal is to improve the lives of those around us using fitness as the catalyst. I look at each person who walks through our doors as an opportunity to provide the coaching, education, and encouragement that has the potential to transform lives for the better.
